Example of Data Cabling Upgrade:
The installation consisted of upgrading an existing data cable network in an old building in downtown Boston, with minimal disruption to the business operations. It being in Boston, it was a “can’t-get-there-from-here” situation: inaccessible tight spaces, no existing cable pathways.
Biggest challenge: Multiple core-drillings through 36” concrete slab were required, while the business staff had to continue working. The challenge was overcome by implementing a stop-go process, whereby drilling was limited to several minutes at a time, requiring careful planning and very close coordination between the teams. Vencom delivered on time, within budget, and to the complete satisfaction of the client.
